A SCOTTISH independence supporter has created his own currency – with Alex Salmond featured on it.
A Reddit poster using the name bluemonkey321 shared an image of his ‘Two Smackeroonie’ coin on the site.
The coin, he says, could have been the currency in Scotland had there been a Yes vote in 2014.
According to its creator, the coin is made of zinc alloy plated with gold and silver and is the same size as a £2 coin.
One has even been sent to the former First Minister.
Bluemonkey321 wrote: “I got a letter back from him saying that he loved it and asked if we could submit a ‘lot’ of “official” smackeroonies to the SNP charity auction with a letter of authenticity signed by him.
