A NEW interactive map is allowing Scots to find out more about their heritage.
The map, created by tartan manufacturer Lochcarron, shows clan holdings from the beginning of the 17th century.
Users can browse the different areas of the country and find out more about the history of each clan, including their motto and tartan.
Months of work went into the map, which was first drawn by hand.
The design team consulted with 121 clan societies, working closely with clan chiefs to ensure it was as accurate as possible.
A spokesperson for Lochcarron said: “Our main aim with the map was to create a resource that could be enjoyed by Scots across the globe, allowing them to discover their clan history, motto, and tartan in an interactive way.”
