DUNDEE’S Camperdown Wildlife Centre has a new pair of star attractions.
The adorable wolf cubs were caught on camera wrestling with each other in their enclosure -the first time they’ve been spotted together since they were born.
The Centre in Dundee welcomed the new arrivals at the end of last month, with staff surprised that their parents successfully mated after just two months at the zoo.
It was not expected that they would contribute to a Europe-wide breeding programme until at least next year.
Bradly Yule, Network Manager at Camperdown Wildlife Centre said: ““We are very excited to see our European wolves with cubs, this is an important event in the role of our zoo and these pups will enhance the population.
“They will also serve as ambassadors to help reduce the pressure on wild environments where these wolves come from.
“The first time parents have taken to parenthood extremely well and have adopted comfortable roles in upbringing their cubs.
“Our male, Loki, has been feeding and sharing food with female, Aurora, who has been carefully rearing her young.”
