As TOWIE star Gemma Collins exits I’m A Celebrity jungle after just three days in the jungle, we look back at reality TV game show great escapes.
Gemma Collins sharp exit

Definitely one of the shortest stays in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
The moment she refused to fly into the jungle in a helicopter, things weren’t looking good for the TOWIE star.
Shockingly, the Essex boutique owner wasn’t a fan of the insects, sleeping in the outback, or the lack of food, and she quickly made her excuses.
Jack Dee comic exit
The straight-faced comedian was a surprise contestant in the first Celebrity Big Brother and made a hilarious attempt to escape the house.
The comic fled the house by simply walking out of the back gate.
His attempts to hide the security guards by covering his face in mud as camouflage and lying down in a portable office were in vain.
He was led back into the house after the 30 minute cherade before going on to win the comic relief competition.
“Nasty” Nick Bateman awkward exit
The first man to be kicked out of the Big Brother house due to etiquette. He broke rules and manipulated housemates, much to the fury of the watching public and eventual winner Craig.
His housemates confronted him about his behaviour in one of the show’s most compelling and awkward moments, and the game was up.
He was asked to leave by the show’s producers who presumably were more interested in rules than ratings back then.
He left the house to enjoy short-term fame in the media and a dreadful gameshow spin-off where contestants had to lie to win.
Sandy Cumming delighted exit
Big Brother Series 3 Scot Sandy Cumming fell out with a lot of people and then made a break for it.
Most weren’t too sad to see him go as he’d spent the majority of his time onscreen moaning about other housemates.
But it was a pretty impressive exit as he climbed on to the roof and along a narrow ledge as his housemates cheers him on.
Whether they were cheering for his gallant effort, or because they were delighted to get rid of him, we will never know.
Helen Wood, Ash Harrison and Winston Showan failed exit
For anyone who watched Big Brother in 2014, the failed escape attempt of Helen Wood, Ash Harrison and Winston Showan was a rare highlight.
The trio’s botched attempt was more of a publicity stunt than a genuine need for freedom and privacy, but none of them bargained for the punishments that followed.
They became pretty unpopular amoung their fellow contestants when they returned, as the entire house was deprived of access to their bedrooms, hot water, and any treats, and eviction votes abound.
