Police appeal for information as eight-year-old schoolboy goes missing in Lochmaben, near Dumfries

UPDATE: Connor has been found alive and well

Connor Beck, a pupil at Lochmaben Primary in Dumfries & Galloway, was last seen in the town’s High Street at around 9:30.

He is described as white, 4ft tall, with short ginger hair and freckles. He was wearing his school uniform, a red jumper and trousers when he left home.

Sgt Anna Anderson said: “We would ask anyone who may have seen Connor today to get in touch with us on the 101 number.

“Family and friends are searching the area for him and anyone who may know of his whereabouts should call us right away.
