Drummer Tom Potter, 15, is on a roll after snaring Robbie Williams and One Direction’s percussionists as fans.
Tom has been lauded after Karl Brazil, of Robbie’s band, and One Direction’s Josh Devine heard him play in the UK Young Drummer Of The Year Competition.
The amazing Glasgow schoolboy was a finalist, despite being deaf in one ear since the age of 12, a complication of being born with a cleft lip and palate which have been repaired with many ops.
“I was only 11 when I picked up a pair of drumsticks and have practised every day since,” he said.
“I’m stunned after being recognised by the best drummers in the world.
“Karl and Josh were judges and Karl said he rated my performance.
“It was the best moment of my life.”
His mum said: “We’re so proud of Tom. He’s worked incredibly hard.”
Tom plays in a talented band of young musicians, The Williams Jazz Quartet.
He also loves being part of Loud ’n’ Proud, a charity rock and pop school in Paisley.
