A jailed killer awarded compensation after his nose hair clippers were damaged is fighting a transfer to a secure mental hospital.
Machine gun killer Kevan Thakrar is opposed to plans which could see him sent to high-security Rampton hospital one of three high-secure hospitals in England.
He claims the move is against his human rights and believes he should be allowed to serve his sentence in a mainstream nick.
However prison service psychiatrists believe the high-security hospital is the best place for the 27-year-old to be kept as he suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
A prison source said: “Kevan believes moving him to Rampton is against his human rights and says he should be moved back in the mainstream prison population.”
The lag was cleared of attempted murder after a crazed rampage where he was alleged to have slashed three guards with a razor-sharp chilli sauce bottle.
During the hearing it was revealed he suffers from PTSD, a courtroom revelation which has inspired the possible move to the hospital.
His bid for more cushy conditions was last night slammed by Craig Wylde, a prison guard he attacked while in Frankland prison, County Durham.
The former Scots Guard said: “It is a joke. There’s no way Thakrar should be moved back into mainstream prisons he’s been dubbed the most dangerous prisoner in the country.
“He’s played a lie in court that he has PTSD and walked out with a big smile on his face thinking he had beaten the system and now he’s got to live with that lie.
“He should be living under the highest level of psychiatric care in Rampton.”
Killer Thakrar’s supporters will protest against the move at the Prison Service headquarters in London tomorrow.
Thakrar’s mum, Jean, of Port Glasgow, Inverclyde, is understood to be attending the demonstration.
Severed head monster John Bowden, 59, has also thrown his weight behind the killer’s campaign.
Evil Bowden was jailed for life in 1982 for killing park-keeper Donald Ryan, 49, in London and keeping his victim’s head in a fridge.
Bowden, who is currently caged in Shotts Prison, Lanarkshire, said: “Kevan Thakrar has been an extremely brave voice in speaking out against the abuse of prisoner’s rights and he has suffered terribly as a consequence.
“More than ever now he desperately needs the support of all those who truly believe in solidarity with the most oppressed.”
Savage Thakrar is serving 35 years for the killing of three men with a 1,000-round-a-minute machine gun over a £10,000 drug debt.
His murder trial heard the gangster forced his victims to kneel on the ground before pumping them with bullets in August, 2007.
He also attempted to murder two women, who were potential witnesses.
When they survived, he was arrested as he tried to flee the UK.
Incredibly, £500 of it was because jail bosses had not apologised to the killer.
Meanwhile, Mr Wylde is still waiting for compensation FIVE years after the horrific Frankland attack, in which Thakrar also attacked guards Claire Lewis and Neil Walker.
A Prison Service spokesman said it would not comment on individual cases.
