At the time of writing almost 20,000 viewers were tuned in to the fascinating scenes from Newcastle as pedestrians try to navigate the treacherous water hazard.
A variety of methods have been used to get over the obstacle, from climbing around it, jumping across it or simply wading on through.
The addition of the warning sign in the middle is a real help..
