The Natural History Museum of London’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition has reached it’s 51st year, and the 2015 winner has now been announced.
Canadian Surgeon, Don Gutoski, won the prestigious compeition with his striking portrait, “Tale of two foxes”.
The photograph is described as “a beautiful but haunting portrait of the struggle for life in the subarctic climes of Cape Churchill, Canada”.

The 2014 winner, Nick Nichols, is a photographic artist and journalist from the U.S. and he won with his photograph “Black and White”. He claims that shortly before he took the picture, these lions had attacked and driven off one of the pride’s two males.
Greg du Toit, born in South Africa, won Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2013 with his photograph of African elephants. At the time, he said “I’ve always wanted to capture their special energy and their state of consciousness”.
