STRICTLY star Carol Kirkwood is looking forward to hearing wedding bells.
And it’s as much to do with demonstrating her newly-found dancing skills as it is to finding Mr Right.
The Scottish weather forecaster, who has said her only previous dance experience was Scottish country dancing, said she loves a ceilidh.
Carol, 53, who recently admitted she’d like to find a new partner, revealed she is keen to show off her moves at a wedding, without saying whether she had any particular occasion in mind.
“I’ve only done Scottish dancing at weddings and I love it. Bring on the next wedding,” she said.
Currently single after splitting with her boyfriend earlier this year, Carol gets a stream of letters from admirers. She divorced eight years ago after 25 years of marriage, and has revealed she hasn’t given up on marrying again.
“I absolutely believe in marriage if you’re married to the person who is your soulmate and the person who you want to spend the rest of your life with.”
Ahead of Saturday night’s action-packed show, Carol took part in a question and answer session on social media.
Fans learned she is torn between Paso Doble and Foxtrot as her favourite routine so far and that she’d like to see fellow forecaster Phil Avery in next year’s line-up.
She also spoke about how hard she is having to work to keep up with the pace. After completing her “day job” as a forecaster, Carol has been doing up to seven hours of training daily.
“My feet have never known such pain!” she said.Read our list of classic Strictly moments – click here
