It was all so I could meet my old chum Gary Barlow watch this space in a couple of weeks for more from the Take That mastermind. How brilliant it was to arrive in New York to the skirl of the pipes, though. I was met by the most kilted blokes and Scottie dugs in one place I’ve ever seen before. It was like a shortbread tin had come to life in the middle of New York. Was it all for me? Alas, not this time. It was Tartan Week in NYC, and the whole thing really did make me feel proud.
