New Mediterranean flight routes for Scotland

Much more on offer for Scottish holidaymakers.

Scotland’s largest airline easyJet has launched its spring schedule from Scotland with three new Mediterranean routes and the doubling of flights between Inverness and London Gatwick.

The first of easyJet’s new routes was Bodrum and Herakilon from Edinburgh Airport. That was followed by the launch of a new twice-weekly route between Glasgow and the Greek island of Kos (left).

The frequency of easyJet’s services between London Gatwick and Inverness has also doubled with the introduction of a new early morning and evening flight. See easyjet.com.

Meanwhile, Thomson and First Choice have announced that, in summer 2015, they will be increasing capacity at Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports through the introduction of 34,000 extra seats and five new routes including Dubrovnik in Croatia and Marrakesh in Morocco from Glasgow, Antalya in Turkey and Rhodes in Greece from Edinburgh and Faro in Portugal from Aberdeen.

From Aberdeen Airport, passengers will also benefit from additional capacity to Palma in Majorca owing to the introduction of an additional flying day.

Edinburgh Airport will serve 16 destinations from next summer, and Glasgow 32, including additional Paphos in Cyprus, Dalaman in Turkey and Ibiza flights.

Not only will customers from Scotland be able to fly to some fantastic new destinations, but they will also have the opportunity to choose varying durations not just the standard seven and 14 night stays.

Scottish customers will now also have access to some of Thomson and First Choice’s most popular flagship hotels.

These include the Thomson Couples Atlantic Palace in Sorrento, Italy which will be served by flights from Glasgow to Naples and Thomson Sensatori Resorts in Ibiza and Turkey’s Dalaman region.

Croatia’s popular Dubrovnik region will be available for the first time from Glasgow, offering holidaymakers the chance to enjoy a Thomson Cruises’ cruise-and-stay holiday in Dubrovnik, with Thomson Celebration sailing out of the port for the summer season.
