Prince George passed one of his childhood milestones yesterday when the future king received his first bike.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were presented with a tiny bicycle for their eight-month-old son as they opened New Zealand’s national velodrome.
It came complete with a crash helmet and a racing top with his name on the back and though it will be some time before the Prince takes his first ride, the Royal couple could barely contain their delight.
The baby prince’s list of presents is growing by the day and his bike will be added to the miniature amphibious boat his parents received while sailing in Auckland. His latest gift came after a 15,000-strong crowd met William and Kate in the town of Cambridge as they went on a walkabout after paying their respects to New Zealand’s war dead.
The Royal couple also carried out solo engagements for the first time on their tour, though William could not resist chatting about his son, revealing that he had settled into a routine and was keeping he and his wife busy.
