Chile captain and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo would love to repeat one of the most famous nights in his country’s football history.
The South Americans came to Wembley in 1998 and walked off with a 2-0 friendly victory, inspired by two goals from Marcelo Salas, including a volley that was one of the best goals seen at the old stadium.
Now they are back in England this Friday to take on Roy Hodgson’s side as both countries begin preparations for next summer’s World Cup Finals.
And with a headline act in Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez, England should be wary of their visitors.
“I was a lot younger back then, but I do remember that game in 1998, and especially the great goal by Salas,” says Bravo, who saved Robin Van Persie’s penalty in Champions League action for Real Sociedad in midweek.
“That was a special moment for our team and our country.
“We showed everyone what we could do and in Salas and Ivan Zamorano, we had two world-class forwards.
“Now, we also have a very good team with some exceptional players, who are at some of the biggest clubs in the world.
“It’s a great source of pride for us to come to Wembley again and take on a powerful side like England.
“It would be lovely to repeat what we did in ’98, even though we’re up against a strong opponent.
“But we’ll keep calm and play our football, because we know we can make life difficult for anybody.”
