Kenny Miller is adamant he has no regrets about joining Rangers and won’t be walking away.
The former Scotland striker admits the resignation of manager Ally McCoist has upset the players, but they are determined to win the Championship title for their departing boss.
He said: “Driving to a game and getting text messages through about your manager potentially leaving is upsetting and disappointing considering we know him very well.
“If it hadn’t been for him then guys like me wouldn’t have had the opportunity to come back here, so he’s a huge factor.
“I stayed in contact over the years I was away and I consider him my friend. I was fully aware of the situation at the club while I was in Canada. I have friends and family who are Rangers fans.
“You’re never too far away to see what’s going on. But it was a chance for me to come back and the rest was a side issue for me.”
Although Ally McCoist may soon depart the club, Miller has no intention of joining him.
He went on: “I will be here as long as I’m told that I’m not being kicked out the door. Everybody in the dressing-room is fully committed.
“It might not look it at times because our performances have definitely dropped, but the players are fully committed, are fully behind the manager and staff.
“Hopefully we can get back to where we belong, which is the Premiership, next season.
“It’s not just for the manager we want to get promotion, but for the staff and everybody else.
