A mum who became so tubby she resembled a Christmas pudding has shed almost seven stone.
Briony Russell, 36, has lost the combined weight of her two children, becoming a size eight in time for the festive season. But the mince pie lover won’t be piling the pounds back on, as she now runs marathons and sticks to a super strict diet.
“I loved Christmas pudding so much I was turning into one,” she said.
At her heaviest Briony, from Banchory, Aberdeenshire, weighed 15stone 6lb, and was scoffing 4,000 calories a day.
She knew things were at crisis point when her family wanted to go on a winter holiday, and she feared she would not squeeze into the ski lifts.
Briony and gas engineer manager hubby Craig, 43, piled on the stones shortly after they married.
“We would share three big carry-out meals and normal plates could not hold all the food,” Briony added.
Briony turned to Scottish Slimmers and lost the weight in less than a year.
Her supreme fitness kick has netted her the Active award in the recent Scottish Slimmers Slimmer of the Year.
