Classic movie fans will of course know Debbie from her 1952 role in Singing In The Rain. Debbie is 82 now but was only 20 when she starred in the film with Gene Kelly. She won the Lifetime Achievement Award well deserved, too. I actually duetted with Debbie way back in the 90s, believe it or not. I still remember how humbled, nervous and, oh yes, downright embarrassed I was. I was filming a TV special in Las Vegas and she invited me on stage to sing Singing In The Rain with her. It was a dream come true for me, although maybe not for Debbie!
