The Conservative party has held on to a slim lead over Labour in the Press Association’s poll of polls.
With just one week to go until the General Election, the Tories are on 33.9% and Labour is on 33.6%.
Ukip are in third place on 13.3%, the Liberal Democrats are fourth on 8.6% and the Greens are fifth on 5.1%.
Exactly one month on from the official start of the election campaign, the poll of polls suggests support for the main parties has barely moved.
Today’s figures of 33.9% for the Tories and 33.6% for Labour compare with 33.6% for the Tories and 33.8% for Labour on March 30.
The poll of polls is calculated using a rolling average of every nationwide poll published in the last seven days.
Latest projections of the election result suggest the country is heading for another hung parliament, with no party set to win the 326 seats needed to form a majority in the House of Commons.
An average of the current forecasts by the Guardian, the New Statesman and ElectionForecast.co.uk gives the Conservatives a nine-seat lead over Labour, with the Tories winning 277 MPs and Labour 268.
Two new polls were published in the past 24 hours.
A survey by YouGov put the Tories on 35% (+1), Labour on 34% (-1), Ukip on 12% (nc), the Lib Dems on 9% (nc) and the Greens on 4% (nc).
A poll from ComRes put the Tories on 35% (-1), Labour on 35% (+3), Ukip on 11% (+1), the Lib Dems on 7% (-1) and the Greens on 6% (+1).
