Tobin, who has a history of feigning illness to avoid court appearances, was rushed to hospital last Sunday after suffering a suspected stroke at Edinburgh’s Saughton Prison.
But furious Michael Hamilton has branded the serial killer’s sickness a “warped party piece”, deliberately staged to further torment him and his family.
Speaking as he marked the anniversary of his beloved daughter’s disappearance on Wednesday, the 65-year-old said: “I know Tobin’s faking it. This latest episode was just play-acting on his part, a warped party piece deliberately staged to coincide with the 25th anniversary.
“It’s too coincidental. The anniversary was reported in the media prior to Tobin being rushed to hospital. Not that he needs reminding – the date he raped and killed my lassie is no doubt etched on his murderous mind.
“It’s as though he’s pulled this stunt to further torment us, like he’s using the opportunity to celebrate raping and killing our daughter. I wouldn’t put anything past him. He’s sick.”
Tobin, 69, is serving three life sentences for killing 15-year-old Vicky, Dinah McNicol, 18, and Polish student Angelika Kluk, 23.
Vicky was snatched from a bus stop in Bathgate, West Lothian on February 10, 1991.
Michael, of Redding, Falkirk, had to wait 16 years before she was found buried, alongside Dinah, in the garden of Tobin’s former home in Margate.
Vicky’s body had been cut in half and wrapped in bin bags.
Thrice-married Tobin was only caught after he struck again, raping Angelika Kluk at a Glasgow church in 2006 before bludgeoning her with a table leg and stabbing her 19 times. He hid her body under the floor of the church, where he had worked as a handyman under a fake name.
The beast, who once pretended to be dead behind bars, was found slumped in his cell at around midday. He was then taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, cuffed to a guard. He was sent back to prison on Tuesday night.
Michael, who has also suffered a stroke, added: “I’d love nothing more than for Tobin to suffer a stroke. Better still, I’d love to see him dead. But he’s pulled this stunt so many times before – feigning heart attacks among other ailments.”
On Wednesday, Michael and wife Christine made an emotional visit to Vicky’s final resting place.
Christine said: “We laid flowers and lit a candle and told Vicky that we love and miss her very much. The pain never goes away. We remember that day 25 years ago as though it were yesterday.
“We have our memories and that’s something Tobin can never take away.”
A Scottish Prison Service spokesman said: “We cannot comment on individual prisoners.”
