The draw for the last four is scheduled to take place at 4.45pm at the national stadium following the Hoops tie, and also the meeting of the holders, Inverness CT, and Hibs at Easter Road.
Last season, in the first meeting of the clubs since 2012, the Light Blues lost 2-0 to their Old Firm rivals in a League Cup semi-final with Ronny Deila’s side going on to to beat Dundee United in the Final.
But after seeing Rangers rout Dundee 4-0 at Ibrox yesterday, in what was his 200th appearance for the club, Wallace said a return tie this season would hold no fears for him nor his team-mates.
“I think it would be a great game if we got Celtic,” he said.
“We’re all very much aware it’s one of the biggest derbies in world football. It’s a game everyone in our dressing-room would really look forward to.
“Our immediate focus is on our next league game with Morton but in the Cup we’re open to ANYBODY.”
It was the Rangers captain who wrapped up the scoring with his team’s fourth goal, an effort which earned him thunderous applause from the home support.
“To make my 200th appearance for Rangers was an honour and to score as well was a bonus,” he said.
“There is no better feeling than celebrating with our home support, the best support in the world. When you score and run away to see the fans as happy as they are it’s a great feeling.
“More pleasing was the fact we kept another clean sheet, if I’m brutally honest. I’ve managed to score more goals than normal this season which I’m delighted with.
“We’re just ready and feel in a good place right now.
“We’re in good shape barring a couple of injuries. But as a squad we’re really happy and looking forward to the games coming up.”
