Officers called to a suspected burglary found the culprit was a trapped robot vacuum cleaner.
Sheriff’s deputies in Washington County, Oregon, responded to a 911 call from a resident who said someone was in her bathroom and that they could see shadows moving under the door.
Officers arrived at the scene and surrounded the property, but got no response from the suspected burglar when they called out.
However, when they drew their guns and entered the bathroom, they found there was no intruder – just a robot vacuum cleaner going about its business.
According to Facebook post from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Rodgers wrote of the incident: “We made several announcements and the rustling became more frequent.
“We entered the bathroom and saw a very thorough vacuuming job being done by a Roomba vacuum cleaner.”
