ALAN STUBBS is set to leave Hibs for English Championship side Rotherham.
Stubbs, who led the Edinburgh club to Scottish Cup glory, has been locked in talks with the Millers since yesterday.
It is understood that the 44-year-old has agreed terms and the deal will be concluded in the next 24 hours.
Stubbs was the man tasked with taking Hibs back to the Premiership, joining after their relegation in 2014.
His side, however, fell to play-off defeats to Rangers in 2015 and Falkirk earlier this year.
Hibs had hoped to keep a hold of Stubbs for a third attempt at promotion.
In a statement released on Monday, chief executive Leann Dempster said: “I believe that our best chance to keep Alan focused and positive about his job at Hibernian is to allow a brief window within which Alan can speak to Rotherham.
“Reluctantly, therefore, we have agreed to allow that to happen and we will take stock after that.
“While we have agreed to the request, we hope that Alan will see a brighter future here at Hibernian with the continued full support of the board.”
