Entering at this stage of the competition are the teams from Northern Ireland and Wales that have been extended invitations to participate. One of the stand-out ties is the all-Championship clash between Hibs and St Mirren, with Dundee United away to Stranraer. Livingston travel to Northern Ireland’s champions Crusaders, with runners-up Linfield paired with Queen of the South. Under the terms of the new competition, Livingston, Alloa, Linfield and The New Saints will each receive a £4,000 travelling allowance ties.
