SCOTLAND slumped to a heavy defeat in last night’s World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.
It’s been a poor start to the campaign for Gordon Strachan’s side and the manager is under increasing pressure.
He was appointed in 2013 with the task of getting Scotland to a major tournament for the first time since 1998.
He took over a side languishing at the bottom of the 2014 World Cup qualifying group and faced a huge task to get Scotland to Brazil.
They finished fourth in the group with three wins (all under Strachan), two draws and five defeats.
In Euro 2016 qualifying, Scotland again finished fourth in their group. They put in some good performances but couldn’t get the results when needed.
Now, with a disappointing start to the latest qualifying campaign, questions are being asked about Strachan’s future.
