The striker would love to play in the top flight for the Ibrox club, but is in the final year of his current contract.
His aim is to convince manager Mark Warburton that he deserves an extended stay.
There have been a lot of changes under the Englishman and Clark believes his fitness is benefiting from a meticulous approach to preparation.
He said: “There have been a lot of changes in my time in terms of diet and sports science – all for the better I would say.
“Even from the start of the season I feel a million times better.
“The food we get is brilliant and we have breakfast at the club every day.
“I normally have porridge but there is a great selection.
“Craig Flannigan has come in as Head of Performance and given us all a plan.
“I actually worked with him at Queen of the South for a few years, so I know he is really good at his job.
“All the boys get weighed every morning and you want to be in the best shape you can.
“Even on a day off you need to make sure you are looking after yourself.”
Clark, 24, began his career in the top-flight with Aberdeen, but left without making an appearance for the Dons’ first team.
After spells at Peterhead and Queen of the South, he is now part of a Rangers squad that looks set for promotion to the Premiership.
He went on: “Every player wants to play at the highest level. It would be great to do that with Rangers.
“It’s a big season for me. I want to try and push on to hopefully get a new contract.
“I’ve heard the gaffer has praised me and it’s good to hear him saying those things.
“I just need to take my chances when they come.
“I need to work hard in training every day and show him how much I want to be here.
“But the main thing is the team and trying to win trophies.”
