Ronny Deila wants Celtic’s World Cup stars to help fire the club back into the Champions League.
The Parkhead club were represented in Brazil by goalkeeper Fraser Forster, Efe Ambrose and Emilio Izaguirre.
Deila allowed the trio additional time off before joining up with the rest of the squad at the club’s pre-season training camp in Austria.
But he admits they are all in line to face KR Reykjavik in their first-leg qualifying clash in Iceland on Tuesday night.
Deila said: “All our players who are at the World Cup are ready to play in this game. Fraser, Efe and Emilio have all come straight from the World Cup so, of course, they are ready to play.
“Everyone is available for this match and we want to put as strong a team as we possibly can on to the pitch.
“It’s going to be the first important game and I think after the two weeks in Austria we have prepared as well as possible.”
Deila’s long-term plan is to change the style of play at Parkhead by making his players work harder without the ball and injecting pace into the team.
But he admits he has avoided making radical changes ahead of the crucial qualifying matches.
He said: “It is about the result before the performance just now. We need to take things step by step.
“I don’t think we have changed so much. It’s more in training and the routines outside of the pitch that we have changed a little bit.
“On the pitch it’s quite similar. In time we want to raise the tempo of the team but of course the players have to feel safe in what they are doing. I think we have a good plan for that.”
For a man with so much pressure resting on his shoulders, Deila certainly doesn’t appear to be feeling the burden.
Asked if it will be the biggest of his managerial career, the Norwegian coach said: “It’s hard to say the next game is always the most important.
“We really want to win but we will need a good performance up in Iceland and it is now my task to think of what is the best team and have them as ready as possible. If we produce a good performance we have a good chance to win.”
