Panto wouldn’t be panto at the King’s without the popular trio of Allan Stewart, Andy Gray (who is celebrating his 35th year in panto) and Grant Stott and the legendary team are back for yet another year at the Edinburgh venue.
Produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer, a night of special effects and big laughs are guaranteed in the company of three of Scotland’s best-loved panto stars as they give their unique take on the story of Aladdin.

Formed in 1976, the British ska legends spent 214 weeks in the UK charts during a dominant period in the first half of the eighties.
Suggs and Co are still going strong they’ve released two studio albums in the past five years, both of which have reached the UK top 10.
Their new tour, All For The M.A.D.H.E.A.D., is their first UK live dates in more than a year and is sure to feature classics like House of Fun as well as newer material.

Dumb and Dumber To Out Friday
Comedian Jim Carrey and The Newsroom’s Jeff Daniels are an unlikely pairing but together they enjoyed a surprise hit in the early ‘90s with slapstick comedy Dumb and Dumber.
Now they are back as dimwitted duo Larry Christmas and Harry Dunne, 20 years older but certainly no wiser in this long overdue sequel.
Once again the foolish friends are on a cross country trip, this time to find Harry’s adopted daughter. Her appearance at a doctor’s convention gives them plenty of scope for misadventure. Kathleen Turner also stars.
Miracle on 34 Parnie Street Tron Theatre, Glasgow, until January 4
Written, directed by and featuring Johnny McKnight, the Tron’s panto has always been a tad ‘alternative’. This year is no exception.
With references to nearby landmarks to the theatre and local dialect, Miracle on 34 Parnie Street tells the story of Kringle, Kristine Cagney Kringle. She’s shown up at everyone’s favourite department store, TJ Confuse, and is claiming to be the real Santa.

Angus & Julia Stone O2 Academy in Glasgow, tonight
Think of bands featuring family members and the battling Oasis brothers may spring to mind. But siblings Angus & Julia Stone have found success with a much softer acoustic folk-blues sound.
One of the Aussie duo’s biggest fans is producer Rick Rubin, who produced their luscious self-titled third album. Rubin knows his stuff after a career working with the likes of Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond and Adele.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the RSNO’s Christmas concert. Join conductor Christopher Bell for the annual celebration of all things festive, which they describe as a mouth-watering spread of Yuletide music, old and new.
Ex-Taggart star Blythe Duff will narrate Christmas story The Snowman, with the RSNO providing the soundtrack from the film. And, of course, when it comes to the carols the whole family can join in!
