Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley prepares for a hypnotherapy birth

Mum’s the word for Corrie actress.

Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley is a soap star taking a pregnant pause.

And Catherine, who plays ditzy Eva Price, has revealed she’s been using her maternity leave time to catch up with some of her Corrie pals who have already had their babies.

That includes a trip to Yorkshire to see Paula Lane (Kylie) and baby Artie and also Jennie McAlpine (Fiz) and her son Albert.

Catherine, 31, has been planning a hypnotherapy birth.

She finished filming at Christmas and the episodes already in the can will make for a dramatic temporary exit.

“It was a great storyline to work on,” she confides of the drama between Eva and lover Jason (Ryan Thomas).

“It was really something to get my teeth into. In some of the final scenes between the couple, the writing had me in bits. It was very emotional.”

Jason has been suspicious that Eva has been sneaking around her back with, of all people, his dad Tony.

“Todd has truly had his spoon out, stirring things for weeks,” explains Catherine.

“He starts to put ideas in Jason’s head which all leads up to this explosive outburst and huge paranoia on Jason’s part.”

Jason tries to make up for it with tickets for a trip to New York but a still-furious Eva turns them down.

“Eva is a little more hot-headed than I am,” she confides.

“I would probably have taken a few days to cool down and then made Jason work extra hard to get back into my good books.

“This would obviously involve several breakfasts in bed and many a lavish shopping spree!”
