CELEBRITY chef Gordon Ramsay has vowed to open new restaurants in Scotland.
The TV star has announced ambitious plans to open eateries in Glasgow and Edinburgh more than a decade after his last Scottish venture closed.
The famously quick-tempered chef said he was “definitely going back to Glasgow” and that his business is also “currently looking at a site” in Edinburgh.
It comes 12 years after the dad-of-four – ranked the world’s 21st richest celebrity by Forbes magazine – shut the doors on his Glasgow restaurant Amaryllis.
The award-winning diner, the city’s last restaurant to have a Michelin star, was a magnet for celebrities.
Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue were among the stars who were photographed in the restaurant, which was based in the One Devonshire Gardens hotel.
The chef told fans in an online chat: “I can’t wait to open up again in Glasgow.
“It would be a dream come true again, definitely.”
