Triumph has launched a division to create an exclusive limited-edition line-up of ultra-premium motorcycles.
The Factory Custom programme caters for those who want the look of a customised motorcycle but without the difficulty of creating a home-made bespoke build.
The first to be produced is a version of Triumph’s modern classic Thruxton R model. Its engine has been tweaked to the tune of 105bhp – 9.8bhp more than the standard Thruxton R – while carbon-fibre bodywork and high-end Ohlins shock absorbers have been added to the bike’s specification list.
Titanium silencers and race-specification Metzeler Racetec RR tyres have been fitted too.
Thanks to the carbon fibre in its bodywork, as well as a lightweight battery, the Triumph Factory Custom (TFC) Thruxton is 5kg lighter than the bike it’s based on. It’s also limited to 750 units worldwide – making it one rare motorcycle.
The Thruxton TFC was revealed alongside a new concept motorcycle – the Rocket TFC.
It’ll come as the second model in the TFC range, and confirms that an all-new ‘standard’ Rocket will be revealed this year, having been removed from the manufacturer’s line-up two years ago.
It features a similarly classy look to the Thruxton, with a range of carbon-fibre elements appearing across the bike. Although Triumph has yet to disclose full details surrounding the bike, it has said it will incorporate an interchangeable dual or single seat.
The ‘Concept’ Rocket TFC is due to be released in full on May 1.
Prices for both bikes have yet to be revealed.
