On The Sunday Post, we regard Editor Donald Martin as many things. A pedantic pain in the neck, mainly!

But one thing we never had him down as was a fashion icon. Seems we were wrong.

After BBC Scotland screened A Century of Scottish Sundays: 100 Years Of The Sunday Post last week, we received calls and emails asking where Donald got his orange glasses.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t Poundstretcher given he’s so grippy with our expenses. They’re by trendy label Bench, which is stocked by various opticians. However, we can’t find that design online now he’s so last century!

One caller said: “I never thought I’d see the day where the Sunday Post’s editor was setting fashion trends love his glasses!”.

Colin Gilbert tweeted: “Never imagined I’d say this but I want specs like the editor of the Sunday Post!”

Could Donald now have his “eye” on a new career as a fashion designer?
