TV presenter Matt Allwright is the scourge of dodgy dealers and crooked companies.
Watchdog, Rogue Traders and Fake Britain are a few of his consumer champion programmes.
He is a regular on BBC’s The One Show, while his other TV work includes Scambusters and The Secret Tourist.
Matt, 46, lives in West London with his wife and two kids.
I’VE got such a soft spot for Scotland.
My wife and I got married in Gretna and honeymooned in Glasgow.
Looking back, we could have gone to islands like Skye or Arran.
But I was so pleased we did it at Gretna because the people were so lovely. The photographer and the receptionist were our witnesses.
As for our honeymoon destination, I wouldn’t have changed Glasgow for the world.
We stayed in a place near the Botanic Gardens and everything about our stay was magical.
We went to some lovely restaurants and had some great nights out.
When we went to get our rings – it was all a bit of a rush – the guy said that no one left his shop with just one ring.
He came out of the back shop with a biscuit tin and gave us a party ring as well. Simple pleasures like that really made it.
Because of the work I do, when I arrive on holiday I’m still pretty wound up and I’ve got ants in my pants for the first three days.
Then chill-out mode kicks in and I love just lazing around reading books.
Italy is our favourite place for family holidays. We’ve been back to the same place in Puglia year after year.
You have incredibly hot days and then, suddenly, these dramatic thunderstorms. The place has a wonderful vista over the Adriatic and every so often one of these storms will roll in and provide an amazing light show.
The other thing that’s amazing is the food.
Naturally the restaurants are excellent, but if you’re eating in it seems like you can just throw ingredients on a plate without doing much to them.
I love swordfish and tuna and whenever we’re down in that part of the world I’ll pop some on the barbecue.
I don’t know why, but similar produce just isn’t as good when you have it in the UK.
