FORMER glamour model Casey Batchelor was a contestant in the Celebrity Big Brother house, where her romance with Blue’s Lee Ryan unknowingly featured in a love triangle with American model Jasmine Waltz.
She’s since become a qualified yoga teacher and mum to baby daughter, Florence. Her new app, Yoga Blitz, can be downloaded now.
Your job used to be ‘model and singer’. Now?
Back then I was a different person, but it all made me who I am so I’m not going to disown it. I guess I like to call myself a fitness influencer now.
Are you generally a positive person?
Yes. There’s always someone worse off, isn’t there? Negativity just draws more negativity. Florence makes me smile every day and helps turn anything into a positive.
How does the App work?
It’s a series of five-minute yoga routines, three times a day. They get harder as they progress, but you can always go back to the easier ones, and there’s also a nutrition plan.
Is self-respect important, too?
Yes. I have a section on the App called Yoga Bliss, which is a meditation area with soothing sound clips. Mental well-being is so important when you feel bad about your weight.
How bad did you feel at your heaviest?
I was clinically obese and miserable. I’d used pregnancy to indulge myself, and I’d be out of breath carrying my daughter Florence up stairs. I wouldn’t even undress in front of my partner, Dane.
Any tips for keeping at it?
Get your partner to do exercise with you. They’ll have the motivation on your bad days to encourage you to keep going. Dane joins in with me sometimes, and baby Florence lies there laughing while we do it. It all helps.
Do you have a food weakness?
Ice cream. But I’ve found a low-calorie one, Halo Top, and I think I might have an addiction as I have a whole freezer drawer full. I keep mentioning them, hoping they’ll send me some freebies but, so far, nothing (laughs).
What else could you have done for a living?
If I hadn’t gone to stage school I would have tried to become a barrister. If I believe something’s right I’ll always argue the case for it.
Do you keep in touch with any Big Brother pals?
I still speak to Jim Davidson, and Luisa Zussman lives only a few miles from me so we’re good friends. I sometimes even hear from Lee Ryan.
You have 24 hours left to live. How do you spend it?
I’m not a gambler but I’d go with family and friends to Vegas and spend all my money in one, mad day. Then I’d end it all with a Yoga Blitz session for everyone to remember me by.
