RYAN JACK is set to undergo a medical at Rangers within the next 72 hours as Pedro Caixinha closes in on his first big signing.
The Aberdeen captain is out of contract in the summer and has informed manager Derek McInnes of his desire to leave Pittodrie.
That has cleared the way for the Light Blues to make their move for the 25 year old who Caixinha believes will add balance to their midfield.
Though Jack is available to play for Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final he will have to pass a fitness test on a groin problem to do so.
There could be a boost for Aberdeen ahead of the showpiece, though.
It is understood Scotland manager Gordon Strachan will include Kenny McLean, along with handing a call-up to in-form Celtic star Callum McGregor, in his squad to face England on June 10, that will be announced at Hampden tomorrow.
