A ‘HORDE’ of Vikings is set to descend on an Aberdeenshire village as part of their upcoming gala day.
But the invasion will be a peaceful one as the Glasgow Vikings re-enactment group make camp in Inverbervie.
Visitors to Saturday’s extravaganza will be able to explore the camp and watch demonstrations in cooking, weaponry, leather-making, spinning and carving.
Sandie Gillbanks, who is on the gala day committee and is a member of the Viking group, told the Evening Express: “We thought it would be something different for people to see and do at the gala day.
“We think it will be a good thing for the children and they can ask questions.”
The gala day is set to take place in the school field on Church Street, Inverbervie, between 1pm and 4pm.
