TWELVE Scottish brides-to-be are being urged to come forward and be reunited with their wedding dresses following the collapse of Berketex.
Administrators Wilson Field says a dozen brides who ordered dresses and accessories from Berketex Brides stores in Edinburgh and Glasgow still have not been in touch to pick up their goods.
Sheffield-based Wilson Field were formally appointed administrators last Thursday – nine days after all 15 national retail outlets of Bridal Fashions Limited ceased trading as Berketex Bride, leaving more than 300 women in the lurch.
The administrators say they have now matched up more than 125 dresses with their owners – 41 from the two Scottish outlets – at Frederick Street in Edinburgh and Bath Street in Glasgow.
Meanwhile, bride-to-be Danielle Dyer, 25, who made a 450-mile motorway dash to rescue her wedding dress from Berketex tailors in Sheffield two days after the company collapsed, has now tied the knot in it.
Danielle and fiancé Lawrie McLaren, 26, were married at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas on Friday.
