It is understood that the 59-year-old will be officially unveiled as Gordon Strachan’s successor tomorrow. He met with SFA chiefs earlier today, and has signed a two-year deal. He was previously in charge of the national team between January and November 2007. The former Rangers, Hibs and Motherwell boss led Scotland to seven wins out of ten games, but failed to qualify for Euro 2008.
