ONE is very amused …
Complete with tartan shawl, here’s Her Majesty enjoying some glorious late summer sunshine at yesterday’s packed Braemar Gathering.
She was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Princess Royal.
The Queen took time to meet a Highland dancer during the event, held at the Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park, Braemar, Aberdeenshire.
Wearing a pink hat, cream-checked coat and black gloves, she sat alongside Charles, who wore a kilt.
The gathering annually attracts thousands of visitors.
Held on the first Saturday of every September, spectators watch a variety of events and competitions including piping, Highland dancing and tug-of-war contests.
One onlooker said: “Her Majesty appeared to be in good spirits and fully enjoyed her trip to the gathering.”
