Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have shared touching images of their baby son and revealed they have named him August.
August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who was born on February 9, was pictured being cradled by his dad and clutching the finger of his proud mum.
Eugenie posted on Instagram, saying: “We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
“Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you.?”
She added that the images were taken by their “wonderful” midwife, as she thanked essential workers “including our midwife who came to discharge our boy”.
A tweet from the official Royal family account said: “The couple have been touched by the well wishes they have received on the birth of their first child, and are delighted to share this first photo as a family.”
Eugenie revealed that the child had been named after his great-great-great-great-great-grandfather Prince Albert, who had Augustus as a middle name.
August was born 11th in line to the throne but will drop to 12th place with the birth of the Duchess of Sussex’s second baby.
