The Dunblane tennis star has received a knighthood in the New Year’s honours list for services to the sport and charity. It tops off a special 12 months which has seen him win his second Wimbledon title, Olympic gold and a third Sports Personality of the Year award. He’s also become a father and topped the world rankings for the first time in his career. Elsewhere on the list, fellow tennis champ Gordon Reid receives an MBE, and Olympic rower Katherine Grainger has been made a Dame.
