Scotland will have to take on Russia and Belgium in the next two Euro qualifiers minus the most expensive player in the country’s history.
It’s understood Arsenal will keep Kieran Tierney in cotton wool until after the international break.
They intend to give their £25-million full-back his Gunners debut away to Watford on
September 15, the weekend after Scotland’s double header.
That won’t be good news for manager Steve Clarke, who already has the problem of how to get the best out of Tierney and his captain, Andy Robertson, when the left-backs are playing in the same team.
