Location
Situated right in the heart of Uddingston, Boh Cucina is easy to find and access either by car or public transport.
First impressions
From the sign outside covered in greenery to the contemporary interior with exposed brick walls, trellises on the ceiling and funky mirrors and lighting, it looks gorgeous and inviting outside and in.
Service
A lovely waitress manages to find us a table, despite being a walk-in on a busy weekend service. The staff are great throughout, catering for our every whim. Food arrives piping hot, drinks are prompt and everything comes with a smile.
Menu
The menu is pretty compact, but very varied. Small plates range from salami to steak and there are countless combinations of toppings and sauce for pizza and pasta.
Taste
We choose the chicken in chilli and honey and Loch Fyne mussels to start. Both definitely have a little bit of a kick. For mains, it’s Salsiccia Tagliatelle and Beef Ragu. The pasta is cooked to perfection and the sauces amazing. Both dishes are so good we could lick the plates! Be wary on the kids’ choices though…the chicken goujons come in a fiery batter, and the napoli pasta has a hint of heat in it as well. The waitress is very accommodating though and happily replaces until we find something to suit.
Ambience
Despite being full, it is relaxing. We’re tucked away in at the window in a little booth and it feels like we have the place to ourselves. Just lovely!
Price
Our bill, for four, comes in at just over £100, including drinks and desserts. Pretty reasonable.
P.S. Definitely save some room for dessert. The chocolate brownie and ice cream is simply sensational!
