An enormous fire has broken out at the former Jordanhill student campus in Glasgow’s West End.
Firefighters are currently attending to the blaze, which is sending huge plumes of smoke into the air and is visible from across the city.

The former Strathclyde University campus is currently being developed into a £100 million housing development.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted at 3.57pm on Saturday June 8 to reports of fire in a derelict building.
“Four fire engines were deployed and fire fighters are currently at the scene working to extinguish the fire.”
There are currently around 20 firefighters in attendance at the blaze with an aerial appliance en route to put out flames.
