MPs have approved an amendment which attempts to speed up the process for the Government to bring forward a Brexit plan B if Theresa May’s deal is rejected by the Commons.
Members approved Tory former minister Dominic Grieve’s amendment by 308 votes to 297, a majority of 11.
It’s a fresh blow for the Government as rebel Tory MPs joined forces with the opposition.
It precedes five days of debate on the PM’s Brexit deal.
