CAPTAIN Ryan Porteous was on target as Hibernian clinched an under-20s double with victory over Aberdeen in the Scottish Youth Cup final.
Hibs came from behind to triumph 3-1 at Hampden and add the cup to their recent SPFL Development League title.
Connor McLennan put the Dons ahead in the 16th minute with a brilliant solo effort, taking a long diagonal ball down and showing great close control to jink past several players and slip the ball home.
Hibs equalised just after the half-hour mark when Joe MacPherson put Fraser Murray’s cross in his own net under pressure from Oli Shaw, and defender Porteous put the Edinburgh side in front with a powerful header in the 72nd minute.
Jamie Gullan sealed the victory with 11 minutes left when he knocked home from close range after Shaw had held the ball up and slid it across goal following a counter-attack.
