First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed the new total, up by 56 from Thursday, as she gave her daily coronavirus briefing. It comes as schools across Scotland closed down to help deal with the spread of the disease. Ms Sturgeon reiterated the guidance given by the Scottish Government that people should not be going out to pubs or restaurants. “You must not consider this vital health advice to be merely optional,” she said.
