TEN people, including eight children, have been taken to hospital after a disturbance at a Glasgow flat.
Police were called to the incident in Raithburn Road, Castlemilk, at 4.40am on Tuesday.
Six ambulances attended and two women and eight children were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) for treatment.
The extent of any injuries has not been confirmed but a number of the children are believed to have been taken to hospital as a precaution.
A police spokesman said: “Around 4.40am, police were called to a report of a disturbance at a flat in Raithburn Road, Castlemilk.
“Emergency services attended and a number of people, two women and eight children, have been taken to QEUH.
“Enquiries are at a very early stage. Police remain in the area continuing enquiries.”
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We dispatched six ambulances, our special operations response team and a manager to the scene.
“Two female adult patients and eight children were transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
