Outlander star Caitríona Balfe has told of her joy after the arrival of her baby son.
The 42-year-old actress and music producer husband Tony Gill welcomed their first child in August. Writing in the Wall Street Journal, she said the family was “slightly nomadic” dividing its time between Glasgow, when she is filming the hit time-travel drama, and London.
She said: “In Glasgow, we live in a lovely Edwardian terrace apartment with high ceilings and moldings. There’s something beautiful about historic buildings. At home in Scotland, I often find myself wondering about the lives of people who lived there before us.”
After the birth, she had shared pictures of her holding his tiny feet, writing: “I’ve been off socials for a while as I was taking some time to enjoy cooking up this little human. I’m in awe of him already and can’t help stare and wonder at all the possibilities of who he will become, where he will go and what he’ll do on the big adventure of his life.”
She also revealed that for the sixth season of Outlander, filmed earlier this year, scenes had to be shot from creative angles to conceal her pregnancy.
