THE PFA Scotland awards will be handed out tonight, and my Player of the Year is Scott Brown.
He has been the leading player in the country, and has his team on course for every possible success available in the domestic game.
Indeed, the only thing he hasn’t won with Celtic is the National Lottery!
But it’s definitely the Celtic No.8 for me.
He is the leader on and off the park, and every other professional in Scotland should aspire to reach his high standards.
The other names in the frame are Kris Boyd, James Forrest and John McGinn.
They are worthy contenders, most definitely.
Forrest has finally reached the levels he threatened to for three or four seasons, and has added important goals to his game for Celtic.
John McGinn has been a huge part of the success achieved under Neil Lennon at Hibernian.
What a season they have had at Easter Road!
And they are not finished yet.
Boyd has found a new lease of life at Kilmarnock under Steve Clarke, so much so it’s been like a resurrection.
I wish them all well this evening – but I’ll be very surprised if Brown isn’t the one smiling the most.
