BELOVED comedy duo French and Saunders will be back on our screens this Christmas.
A new festive episode will mark the 30th anniversary of the first series of the smash-hit sketch show.
The programme is rumoured to be set to air on Christmas Day on BBC 1.
Dawn French told The Mirror the duo have already started work on the special, with current popular TV programmes like The Handmaid’s Tale getting the French and Saunders treatment.
She said: “There’s some Handmaid’s Tale in there. We had fun with some of the costumes.”
Dawn also added that boozy reality shows are in the comedic firing line.
She said: “I am shocked by how they behave.”
During their shows, the comedians have created spoofs of blockbusters such as Mamma Mia, Titanic, Harry Potter and Silence of the Lambs.
The BBC have said more details on the festive special will be release ‘in due course.’
